Katie Bligh (b. 1994, UK) is an artist based in Poole and Bournemouth who has just graduated with a first class BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB). Bligh is currently exhibiting in Suddenly Last Summer in Bournemouth and will go on to show at the Arts by the Sea Festival through September and October 2016. She has also just exhibited in SALT, an award winning exhibition which took place in both London and Bournemouth over June and July 2016. SALT was chosen best collective in the Free Range Shows 2016. Her practice utilizes digital based media, focusing on photography and installations through the use of photospheres and VR headsets. Her work responds to the idea of play within art, exploring the hierarchical roles within the gallery space and investigating the role that technology has within art.
